RAMALLAH, September 3, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Meteorological Department forecast hot weather today, Thursday, in mountainous areas and very hot conditions in the remaining areas, accompanied by high humidity. Temperatures are expected to drop while remaining about 2°C above their annual average.
Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active, while sea waves will be light to moderate.
During the evening and night hours, the weather will be pleasant in mountainous areas and warm in the remaining areas. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, while sea waves will be light.
Temperatures will continue to decline tomorrow, Friday, while remaining slightly above their annual average. The weather will be normal for summer, partly cloudy to clear.
A slight further drop in temperatures is expected on Saturday, with temperatures remaining slightly above their annual average.
On Sunday, temperatures will drop further to become slightly below their annual average. The weather will be normal for summer, partly cloudy to clear.
The Meteorological Department warned citizens against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. It also warned of the risk of fires in areas with dry vegetation and urged citizens not to leave children or elderly people inside closed vehicles.
