BETHKEHEM, September 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian house in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, on Wednesday.

Nahalin Mayor Na'im Fanoun told WAFA correspondent that occupation forces stormed the town in the early morning hours, accompanied by military vehicles and bulldozers, and proceeded to the Wadi Salem area, where they began demolishing the house of citizen Mu'taz Hassan Musa Najajra.

Fanoun added that the house was approximately 200 square meters and had been built and inhabited for more than 15 years.

The town of Nahalin has been subjected to continuous attacks by occupation forces and colonists, including the demolition of homes and structures, the bulldozing and confiscation of land, and restrictions on urban expansion, all while it is surrounded by a number of settlements and colonial roads.

During August, Israeli authorities carried out 71 demolition operations, targeting 155 structures. These included 47 inhabited homes, 8 uninhabited homes, 33 livelihood facilities, 61 agricultural structures, and 6 other structures.

The highest number of demolitions was recorded in Jenin Governorate, with 29 structures destroyed. This was followed by Jericho and Hebron, each with 24 structures demolished; Nablus with 21; Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 16; Jerusalem with 15; Bethlehem with 13; Tubas with 9; Tulkarm with 3; and Qalqilya with 1.
