HEBRON, September 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished tin homes, animal shelters, sheep pens, water wells, caves and other structures on Wednesday in the village of al-Taban in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Media activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the village with heavy machinery and prevented residents from removing their furniture and belongings before demolishing around 10 tin homes, sheds, sheep pens, water wells, caves, tents and other structures belonging to the Abu Obeid and al-Hamamdeh families.
He added that the demolitions destroyed homes and essential property belonging to the residents, amidst ongoing attacks against the people of Masafer Yatta.
Masafer Yatta has been subjected to a widespread campaign of demolitions and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers targeting homes, residential structures, sheep pens and water wells, as part of a policy aimed at displacing residents from their land and seizing it for settlement expansion and the establishment of additional settlement outposts.
