RAMALLAH, September 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The State of Qatar warned against Israel's attempts to exploit the escalation in the region to impose a new reality in Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon.
During a press conference, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari warned against Israel taking advantage of developments in the region, stressing, "The Israeli escalation in Gaza and the West Bank must be stopped, and Tel Aviv's exploitation of regional events to impose a new reality in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria must be halted."
He emphasized that discussions are ongoing with partners regarding de-escalation in the region, reaching a peaceful solution, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Al-Ansari affirmed Doha's unwavering position of not allowing Israeli to continue its violations, stressing that Israeli practices in the context of the war on the Gaza Strip cannot be justified, and reiterating the demand for Israel to be held accountable for the consequences of these practices.
