Israeli forces storm several houses in Jenin camp

JENIN, Saturday, August 31, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Saturday evening stormed several civilians’ houses in Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

They said that a gun-toting soldiers broke into and ransacked civilians’ houses in two neighborhoods of the camp, turning them topsy-turvy.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces barged their way into the city of Jericho, deploying their vehicles in the street leading to Hisham’s Palace.

There was no immediate information about any casualty or detention case.

This week, the Israeli occupation forces launched its largest offensive on the occupied West Bank since the Second Intifada, attacking three cities - Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas - from land and air and killing at least 17 Palestinians.

Military bulldozers ploughed into critical infrastructure, cutting off communications and resources from several Palestinian cities and refugee camps.

This is the latest move in a broader Israeli offensive, marked by almost daily arrests and killings, in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since the onset of the Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza on 7 October 2023, which resulted in the killing at least 40,691 Palestinians and injuring over 94,060 others.
