GAZA, Thursday, July 18 2024 (WAFA) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen today affirmed that “the bloodshed in Gaza must stop immediately,” considering that “the lives of many children, women and civilians were lost due to Israeli ongoing airstrikes.”

"The people of Gaza have become unable to bear it." She added, "We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire. We need the release of the prisoners," von der Leyen added before the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday, as Israel intensified its deadly strikes in the Gaza Strip.
