India provides $2.5M to UNRWA for the welfare of Palestinian Refugees

RAMALLAH, Monday, July 15 2024 (WAFA) – India announced an amount of $2.5 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), as part of its annual financial contribution of $5 million for the year 2024-2025.

The Indian representation stated in a statement that over the years, and as part of its endeavor to support Palestinian refugees, India has provided its financial support, which amounted to $35 million until the year 2023-2024, for the basic programs and services provided by the agency, including Education, health care, relief and social services provided to refugees.

India announced that in addition to financial assistance, it would provide medicines at the agency's request, and reiterated its call to provide humanitarian aid in a safe, immediate and sustainable manner to the Palestinian people.
