NEW YORK, Monday, July 8, 2024 (WAFA) - The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) today said that it is working to meet the needs of women and girls in the Gaza Strip, calling for an immediate ceasefire to continue providing life-saving support.
The UN fund added in a post on X: "We are tirelessly working with our partners to meet the growing needs of women and girls amid the hostilities in Gaza. However, to sustain our life-saving support, we urgently call for a ceasefire."
The United Nations Population Fund also called for "unhindered and safe access to provide essential aid to those in need in Gaza."
