RAMALLAH, Saturday, September 9, 2023 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh offered his condolences to his Moroccan counterpart, Aziz Akhannouch, over the victims of the powerful earthquake that struck Morrocco, killing and injuring hundreds of people, including dozens seriously.
Shtayyeh expressed his deep condolences to the Moroccan king, government, and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
He also expressed confidence in Morrocco’s ability to overcome this crisis.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in a statement earlier today, said that all
Palestinians, including students, in Morocco are safe.
A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit Morocco on Friday, killing at least 820 people and injuring more than 670, said Al Jazeera Media Network.
