RAMALLAH, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 (WAFA) - Exports decreased in June by 8% compared to May, and also decreased by 1% compared to June 2022 and reached $130.6 million, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
Exports to Israel decreased in June by 3% compared to May and it represented 93% of total June exports, said the PCBS.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 46% during the same period and reached $8.9 million.
Imports also decreased in June by 6% compared to May, while it increased by 4% compared to June 2022 and reached $678 million, said the PCBS.
Imports from Israel decreased by 6% in June compared to May and it represented 54% of total June imports.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 5% compared to May 2023.
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit by 5% in June compared to May, while it increased by 5% compared to June 2022 and reached $547.4 million.
