RAMALLAH, Monday, August 21, 2023 (WAFA) – Very hot conditions are expected today in Palestine with temperature remaining 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 26°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A slight rise in temperature is expected tomorrow, Tuesday, to become 3°C above the seasonal average.

Similar temperatures and weather conditions are expected on Wednesday and Thursday, said the PMD, which warned people against direct exposure to sunlight for a long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and against setting fire in areas with dry grass.
