RAMALLAH, Monday, August 14, 2023 (WAFA) - The overall consumer price index (CPI) for Palestine during July recorded an increase by 0.14% compared with June mainly as a result of the increase in the prices of potatoes, fresh vegetables, fruits, and dried vegetables, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The increase was by 0.16% in Gaza Strip, 0.14% in the West Bank, and 0.06% in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian CPI during July increased by 3.63% compared with July 2022, an increase of 4.14% in the West Bank, 2.87% in the Gaza Strip, and 2.26% in Jerusalem.
The changes in Palestinian CPI during July 2023 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub-groups compared with the previous month:
