RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 19, 2023 (WAFA) - The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Palestine during 2022 recorded a sharp increase of 7.42% compared with 2021 (9.74% for local products, and by 6.62% for imported products), today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The increase in the prices of imported goods lead the WPI to increase during the fourth quarter of 2022, it said.
The changes in WPI for 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following division compared with the previous year:

The overall WPI in Palestine during the fourth quarter of 2022 recorded an increase of 1.05% compared with the third quarter of the same year (1.11% for imported products, and by 0.88% for local products).
