ALGIERS, Saturday, January 14, 2023 (WAFA) – The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, is going to visit Palestine in May, according to Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA).

Rajoub met today with Infantino on the sidelines of his participation in the opening of the African Championship to the locals in the Algerian capital, Algiers and the two sides agreed that Infantino would visit Palestine during the first half of May.

Infantino had expressed a wish to visit Palestine during his previous meeting with Rajoub on the sidelines of their participation in the inauguration of the Gulf Cup "Gulf 25" held in Iraq.

Rajoub welcomed Infantino's projected visit to Palestine, stressing the importance of informing him and FIFA about the situation of Palestinian football and its remarkable recent progress despite the many challenges it faces.
