RAMALLAH, Friday, January 6, 2023 (WAFA) – Palestine is experiencing an increase in tourist arrivals, which was evident at the end of 2022 and the beginning of this year, as 100.000 tourists visited Palestine during the Christmas holiday celebrated according to the Gregorian calendar, today said Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Rula Maayah.
The minister noted that the number of tourist arrivals to Palestine for Christmas at the start of this year remains less than normal pre-coronavirus pandemic times, adding that the percentage of reservations in hotels tonight reached 90%.
Maayah indicated that the ministry carries out promotional activities around the world for tourism in Palestine, and in this context Palestine will participate in the meetings of the World Tourism Organization in Madrid, in addition to opening new markets, with the participation of the private sector in Japan, to promote tourism in Palestine.
