RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 24, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is cold, cloudy and rainy, with rain and thunderstorms over most portions of the country, and with a noticeable drop in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
The rainy and cold conditions prevail in the night hours, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate southwesterly winds blow. Sea waves are low to medium.
A low pressure and a cold front are set to affect the region on Sunday, causing temperature to plummet to 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and cold conditions in daytime and cold to very cold conditions in the early morning and night hours. Torrential rain showers are expected along with occasional thunderstorms.
The same weather conditions of rain and thunderstorms are expected for Monday, with no change in temperature.
A slight rise in temperature is expected for Tuesday, with a little chance of rain over some areas.
PMD warns people against the formation of floods in flood-prone areas, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility.
