RAMALLAH, Monday, October 31, 2022 (WAFA) – An increase in the Producer Price Index (PPI) during September 2022 has been noted, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 106.98 in September 2022, as it increased by 1.78% compared to August 2022.
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2019 = 100) reached 106.80 in September 2022, which indicates an increase of 1.95% compared to August 2022.
Producer Price Index for local exported products (2019 = 100) reached 108.70 in September 2022, which indicates an increase of 0.21% compared to August 2022.
The changes of PPI for September 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:
