AL-BIREH, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today attacked Palestinians protesting the Israeli siege imposed on Shufat refugee camp and nearby Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem, for the fifth consecutive day.

Clashes broke out in the town of al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, as Israeli forces attacked protesters with tear gas canisters, stun grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets.

Similar clashes broke out near the northern entrance to al-Bireh city at the DCO checkpoint where one person was shot by a live bullet in the leg, according to the Red Crescent.

Earlier today, a 22-year-old youth was hit in the eye, which necessitated his transfer for treatment, after Israeli forces attacked Palestinians who clashed with soldiers at the northern entrance to Bethlehem in protest against the army’s tight closure and measures against Shufat refugee camp and nearby towns.
