RAMALLAH, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 (WAFA) - A total of 2,610 building licenses were issued in the second quarter of 2022, a decrease by 20% compared with the first quarter of 2022 and a decrease by 1% compared with the second quarter of 2021, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The number of new building licenses was 1558, a decrease by 22% compared with the first quarter of 2022 and a decrease by 6% compared with the second quarter of 2021, it said.
The total number of licensed dwellings was 5,290, of which 4,001 were new dwellings and 1,289 were existing dwellings.
The number of new dwellings in the second quarter of 2022 decreased by 20% compared with the first quarter of 2022 and increased by 2% compared with the second quarter of 2021.
