RAMALLAH, Monday, September 5, 2022 (WAFA) - The overall industrial production index (IPI) in Palestine sharply decreased by 11.41% compared to June, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The decrease in the IPI for July was due to the sharp decrease in the activities of the manufacturing industry by 13.09%, which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry, the activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation by 12.13%, which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry, and the activities of mining and quarrying by 9.72%, which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased by 8.61%, which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry.
