RAMALLAH, Friday, August 26, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and relatively hot to hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a drop of temperature, which remains slightly unseasonably high, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is moderate in most districts. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.
A hot air mass will affect the region on Saturday, causing temperature to rise to 5°C above the seasonal average together with an increase in the heat stress in most districts.
Sunday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 7°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to heavy to extreme heat stress in all districts.
A slight drop of temperature is expected on Monday, yet the heavy heat stress continues to prevail.
PMD warns people against being directly exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
