RAMALLAH, Monday, August 8, 2022 (WAFA) – The number of new Covid-19 cases is still high in Palestine, mainly in the Gaza Strip, after conducting 17,480 tests, according to data provided today by the Ministry of Health.

It said the West Bank recorded 1145 new cases and three deaths during the week from August 1 to 7, while 1942 Covid patients have recovered during this period.

The Gaza Strip had 4797 new cases and no deaths, while occupied East Jerusalem recorded 440 new cases and 910 recoveries.

The Ministry said 42 Covid patients are getting treatment in hospitals and 18 are in intensive care, while six are on ventilators.
