RAMALLAH, Monday, July 25, 2022 (WAFA) - The construction cost index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank decreased by 0.87% during June compared with May due to a decrease in the price of raw materials by 1.23%, and labor costs and wages by 0.58%, while rental of equipment increased by 1.94%, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The CCI for non-residential buildings in the West Bank also decreased by 0.94% during June compared with May due to a decrease in the price of raw materials by 1.29%, and labor costs and wages by 0.58%, while rental of equipment increased by 1.71%.
The CCI for skeleton buildings also decreased by 1.80% during June compared with May due to a decrease in the price of raw materials by 2.52%, and labor costs and wages by 0.67%, while the price of rental of equipment increased by 1.92%.
The overall road cost index in the West Bank decreased by 0.40% during June compared with May due to a decrease in the price of raw materials by 1.17%, and the price of rental of equipment by 0.36%, while, labor costs and wages increased by 2.99%, and the price of operating costs of equipment and maintenance increased by 0.64%.
The overall water networks cost index also decreased by 0.59% during the same period and the water reservoirs cost index by 2.86%, while the water networks cost index increased by 0.41% and sewage networks cost index increased by 0.37%.
