President Abbas discusses developments with Jordan’s King Abdullah

AMMAN, Sunday, July 24, 2022 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas met today with King Abdullah II of Jordan in the Jordanian capital Amman and briefed him on the latest political developments in Palestine and the challenges facing our people as a result of the continuing Israeli crimes.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and common issues between the two brotherly countries, as well as the latest political developments in the region.

They also discussed US President Joe Biden's recent visit to the region, and the results of the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, which affirmed the centrality of the Palestinian issue and the need to solve it in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.

President Abbas and King Abdullah agreed to continue joint coordination to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The President thanked King Abdullah II for his firm stances in support of the rights of our people and its just cause in all international forums.

King Abdullah II stressed the firm position of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan towards the Palestinian cause and the kingdom’s unswerving support for the Palestinian people in obtaining their just and legitimate rights.
