Wholesale price index up by 2.75% in Q2 due to a sharp rise in prices of local and imported products

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 (WAFA) - The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Palestine during the second quarter of 2022 recorded a sharp increase by 2.75% compared with the first quarter of 2022, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

It said the increase was by 2.79% for imported products and by 2.63% for local products.

The changes in WPI for the second quarter of 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following division and category compared with the previous quarter:
