ALGERIA, Monday, July 4, 2022 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Algeria today at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to participate in the commemorative festivities of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence.
During his visit, President Abbas is slated to discuss with his Algerian counterpart the means to reinforce bilateral relations, the latest developments regarding the annual summit of the Arab League, scheduled in November in Algeria, and the need to coordinate their positions in this regard.
The President is accompanied by the member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Ziad Abu Amr, head of intelligence, Majed Faraj, advisor to the President for religious affairs and Islamic relations, Mahmoud al-Habbash, diplomatic advisor to the President, Majdi Al-Khalidi, President's advisor, Mustafa Abu al-Rub, and ambassador of the state of Palestine to the state of Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita.
