RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 21, 2022 (WAFA) – Hot conditions are expected today in Palestine during the day while moderate conditions prevail at night with a rise of temperature approaching 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southeasterly to southwesterly, moderate to active, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 14°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 13°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to plummet and approach 3°C below the seasonal average tomorrow, Sunday, with partly cloudy, relatively cold and dusty conditions, particularly in the mountains. Sporadic rainfall is expected from the evening, particularly in the northern districts.

A further drop in temperature is expected on Monday to become 4°C below the seasonal average, Sporadic rainfall is still expected, particularly in the northern districts.

Temperature rises again on Tuesday to become above the seasonal average, said the PMD.
