RAMALLAH, Friday, May 20, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and hot in daytime and mild in nighttime with a rise of temperature, which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate northwesterly wind blows in daytime and easterly to southeasterly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to slightly rise with partly cloudy to clear and hot conditions in daytime and mild in nighttime.

Temperature is set to plummet and approach 3°C below the seasonal average on Sunday, paving the way to partly cloudy, relatively cold and dusty conditions, particularly in the mountains. Sporadic rainfall are expected from the evening, particularly in the northern districts.

A further drop of temperature is expected on Monday, paving the way to partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in the night. Sporadic rainfall are still expected, particularly in the northern districts.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
