RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas decided to honor four Palestinian women by awarding them the Medal of Achievement in recognition of their distinguished role and efforts in their area of work.

Maha Jiries El-Saqqa will be awarded the Achievement Medal by President Abbas later today for her role in preserving the Palestinian heritage, the art of embroidery, and for her collection of the traditional Palestinian dress, the thoub, and presenting them in order to show the authenticity and cultural identity of the Palestinian people and their historical narrative.

In addition to Saqqa, the Medal of Achievement will be also presented to Widad Qowar for her role in the field of preserving Palestinian heritage, and for Hind Jawhariyeh and Salwa al-Hout for their work in the institutions of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
