RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli army killing yesterday in Jericho of Ahmad Ibrahim Oueidat, 20, during an army raid of Aqbat Jabr refugee camp hit the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
They also said several other people were injured and many detained during army incursions in several West Bank districts.
Al-Quds daily said Israel has turned 22,000 dunums of land in the Dead Sea area into a nature reserve and that it denies Palestinians the right to start a business on its banks.
It also said rights organizations petitioned the Israeli High Court against Israel’s nationality law which considers every Palestinian a security threat.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh met yesterday with the Austrian foreign minister at his office in Ramallah.
It said family and friends of Athal al-Azzeh, 14, who is in Israeli custody, held a sit-in outside Ofer prison demanding his release. The youth played the violin during the protest since Azzeh is also a violin player.
The third daily, al-Ayyam, said Turkey is restricting Hamas activities on its land.
It said dozens of people in the Israeli Arab town of Tamra demonstrated yesterday in solidarity with occupied Jerusalem and its holy places.
The papers also reported on the war in Ukraine.
