A sharp rise in the prices of local and imported products lead to rise in wholesale price index in Q1, 2022

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 (WAFA) - The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Palestine during the first quarter of this year recorded a sharp increase by 3.86% compared with the fourth quarter of the previous year, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

It said WPI for local products increased by 5.77%, and by 3.20% for imported products.

The changes in WPI for Q1, 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following divisions and categories compared with the previous quarter:
