RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 23, 2022 (WAFA) – A low-pressure front is expected to affect the country today further bringing down the temperature to approach 9°C below the seasonal average. Rainfall is expected over most areas of the country mainly in the evening accompanied by occasional thunderstorms and hail, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to westerly, moderate to active, and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 8°C and a low of 3°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 7°C and a low of 2°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 7°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The low-pressure is expected to continue to affect the country tomorrow, Thursday, as temperature drops again approaching 10°C below the seasonal average. Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected over most areas of the country.

A slight rise in temperature is expected on Friday, which nevertheless remains 9°C below the seasonal average. Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected over most areas of the country during the day, which subsides at night.

Warmer conditions are expected on Saturday with a slight rise in temperature, which remains 5°C below the seasonal average, said the PMD, warning people against floods in low areas and valleys during the low pressure, slippery roads, high winds, and low horizontal visibility.
