RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 (WAFA) – The weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to cloudy and very cold as a low-pressure affects the country, with a drop in temperature, becoming 11°C below the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected on most areas, while snow is expected on moutains higher than 700 meters.
Winds are northwesterly, moderate to active, and sea waves are medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 5°C and a low of 1°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 4°C and a low of 0°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 11°C and a low of 6°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature rises on Wednesday, but weather conditions generally remain cold to very cold. A little chance of scattered rain showers is also expected over some areas until the noon hours.
Thursday's weather is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and very cold to cold, with yet another rise in temperature.
Partially cloudy to clear and cold skies are expected on Friday, with a rise in temperature and a little chance of scattered rain showers.
PMD warned people against low horizontal visibility, slippery roads, and the formation of frost in the upcoming days.
