RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 12, 2022 (WAFA) – The low pressure and very cold front is expected to continue to affect Palestine today with temperature remaining 9°C below the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
A chance of sporadic light rain is expected in most districts. Winds are northwesterly, moderate to active and sea waves are high.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 7°C and a low of 3°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 6°C and a low of 2°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Partly cloudy and cold to very cold conditions are expected tomorrow, Sunday, with a slight rise of temperature, which yet remains 8°C below the seasonal average. The chance remains for sporadic light rain in some districts.
A slight drop in temperature is expected on Monday going back to be 9°C below the seasonal average, therefore very cold conditions prevail with a chance for light rain.
The cold low-pressure front gets worse on Tuesday with temperature becoming 10°C below the seasonal average bringing rain, thunderstorms and possibly hail on most areas, said the PMD, which warned people against low horizontal visibility and the formation of frost on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings.
