RAMALLAH, Thursday, March 10, 2022 (WAFA) – Palestine today recorded 327 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.
She announced that 327 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and nine others died of it in the occupied territories.
As part of the 327 new cases, 112 cases were registered in the West Bank and 215 others in the Gaza Strip. Among the West bank cases, 50 were recorded in Jerusalem.
She identified the death cases as six residents of the West Bank and three others of the Gaza Strip.
She added that 745 Covid-19 patients recovered; 245 recovery cases in the West Bank and 500 others in the Gaza Strip. Among the recovery cases in the West Bank, 110 cases were recorded in Jerusalem.
She pointed that 41 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 73 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including 21 who are on ventilators.
She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.1 percent and the active cases account for 1 percent. The death toll accounted for 0.9 percent of total infections.
