RAMALLAH, Thursday, March 03, 2022 (WAFA) – A low pressure and a cold front are set to affect the region today in Palestine, causing temperature to plummet to 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms are expected.
Active westerly to northwesterly wind, with strong guts that are expected to reach 70 km/h, blows in daytime. Sea waves are high.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 12°C and a low of 7°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 11°C and a low of 6°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
The low pressure is expected to continue on Friday, thus weather continus to be cloudy and very cold.
Saturday's weather is expected to be partially cloudy to cloudy and mild, with a rise in temperature, becoming around its annual average.
Weather on Sunday is expected to be partially cloudy to clear and mild, with yet another rise in temperature, becoming 5°C above the seasonal average.
PMD warned citizens against flood formation, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
