RAMALLAH, Friday, February 18, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and mild in daytime with a rise of temperature, which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Partly cloudy and cold conditions are expected in the night, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate northerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 13°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A significant drop of temperature is expected on Saturday, paving the way to partly cloudy and rainy conditions. Sporadic rain showers, possibly torrential, are expected, along with occasional thunderstorms and hail. The chance of rainfall will gradually taper off towards the night.

Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold conditions are expected on Sunday, particularly in the mountains, with a slight rise of temperature. The chance remains for isolated light rain showers.

Monday’s temperature is set to further slightly rise and become seasonal, with partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions. The chance remains for isolated light rain showers.
