Sharp decline in number of new Covid-19 cases in Palestine but death toll remains high

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 (WAFA) – A sharp decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases was registered in Palestine in the last 24 hours while the death toll remained high.

The Ministry of Health said today that 12 Covid-19 patients have died in the West Bank where 788 new cases were recorded and 1500 patients recovered.

The Gaza Strip recorded seven deaths, 1260 new cases and 3000 recoveries, while East Jerusalem reported 805 new cases and 830 recoveries.

The Ministry said 267 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in hospitals and 133 are in intensive care while 42 patients are attached to respirators.
