RAMALLAH, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 (WAFA) – Eleven people have died of Covid-19 and 4095 new cases were confirmed in Palestine in the last 24 hours, a sharp rise compared to previous days, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that seven of the deaths were recorded in the West Bank where 3201 new cases were confirmed and 438 patients have recovered.
The Gaza Strip recorded four deaths, 894 new cases, and 105 recoveries.
According to Alkaila, 96 Covid-19 patients are still getting treatment in hospitals and 58 are in intensive care, while 23 patients are attached to ventilators.
The active cases have risen to 3.7 percent of the total since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine two years ago while 95.3 percent have recovered and the death rate continues to stand at 1 percent.
