RAMALLAH, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 (WAFA) - Palestine today recorded 501 new Covid-19 cases, six fatalities, and 224 recovery cases in the last 24 hours, said Health Minister Mai Alkaila in her daily report on the disease.
Among the new 501 cases, 405 cases were recorded in the West Bank, and 96 others in the Gaza Strip.
She added that 224 Covid-19 patients have recovered; 138 recovery cases in the West Bank and 86 others in the Gaza Strip.
She said that three deaths were recorded in the West Bank and three in the Gaza Strip.
The recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.2 percent, while active cases reached 0.8% percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
Alkaila said 56 corona patients are in intensive care units, including 18 on ventilators.
