Weather: Rain, cold conditions continue in Palestine
Rainy weather in Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine.

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 (WAFA) – The low-pressure polar front that affected Palestine over the past couple of days is expected to continue today, thus bringing cold conditions, rain, and thunderstorms, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly, moderate to active, strong at times, and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and in Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 6°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Similar weather conditions are expected tomorrow, Thursday, with light scattered rain in most areas.

A slight rise in temperature is expected on Friday, Christmas Eve, but the weather is expected to remain cold to very cold at night in the mountainous areas.

Another slight rise in temperature is expected on Saturday, Christmas Day, but the cold conditions will continue, mainly at night, said the PMD, which warned people against the formation of floods, mainly in the valleys and low areas, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
