Palestine moving at all levels to confront occupation's measures – Foreign Ministry

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 (WAFA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Maliki, said today that the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation unanimously adopted a draft resolution submitted by Palestine entitled "Islamabad on Palestine and the City of Jerusalem".

In an interview with "Voice of Palestine" radio, the minister said the draft resolution confirms that the Islamic countries still consider the Palestinian issue as the central issue for all member states of the organization.

Al-Maliki also affirmed that there is a careful follow-up at all levels and forums of all Israeli measures and policies against citizens, their lands, and properties, especially after the announcement of new rules of engagement which allow soldiers to open fire at Palestinians who throw stones, even if they are fleeing.

"This was condemned and instructions were issued to all Palestinian ambassadors abroad to raise the issue and demand clear and public positions condemning these policies," the minister said.

The United Nations, the Human Rights Council, UNESCO, and other international organizations were urged to take action and assume their responsibilities on the issue, in addition to discussions with the ambassador of Palestine accredited to the International Criminal Court to submit a report in this regard and demand that the court take practical and quick steps.
