RAMALLAH, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 (WAFA) - The overall wholesale price index (WPI) in Palestine increased in the third quarter of 2021 by 4.21% compared with the second quarter of the same year, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

WPI for local products increased by 5.77% and for imported products by 2.04% compared with the second quarter.

The sharp rise in the index for the third quarter was due to the increase in the activities of agriculture by 11.83%, the activities of fishing by 6.90%, and the activities of manufacturing by 0.84%.

Meanwhile, the activities of mining and quarrying decreased by 0.36%, said the PCBS.
