RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 14, 2021 (WAFA) – Nine people died of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours as 738 new cases were recorded, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that six of the deaths were in the Gaza Strip where 578 new cases were recorded and 1100 patients have recovered.
The remaining three deaths were in the West Bank where 160 new cases were recorded and 355 recoveries.
Alkaila said 137 corona patients remain in hospitals and 70 are in intensive care, while 11 are on ventilators.
She also said that over 1.2 million people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip have been vaccinated with the second dose against the corona pandemic, most of them in the West Bank, and 5361 people have received the booster shots, including 2112 in the Gaza Strip after it started yesterday giving people a chance to receive the third coronavirus shot.
