Weather: No change in the heatwave today, which begins to subside as of tomorrow

RAMALLAH, Monday, July 19, 2021 (WAFA) - The weather today in Palestine remains very hot as the heatwave continues to affect the country. Temperature remains 6°C above its seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are light to moderate, northwesterly, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 23°C, in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 34°C and a low of 22°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 45°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 25°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The heatwave is expected to begin to recede as of tomorrow, Tuesday, the first day of the four-day Eid Al-Adha holiday, but remains 3°C above the average.

A significant drop in temperature is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, which nevertheless remains slightly above the seasonal average said the PMD, which warned people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas with dry grass.
