RAMALLAH, Sunday, July 18, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine remains very hot as the heatwave continues to affect the country.
Temperature remains 6 degrees Celsius above its seasonal average and with no change from previous day, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are northwesterly and light to moderate, and sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 35 C and a low of 24 C, in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 34 C and a low of 23 C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 45 C and a low of 29 C, while it is expected to reach a high of 34 C and a low of 25 C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for Monday.
A drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday, the first day of the four-day Eid Al-Adha holiday, but remains 4 to 5 C above the average, said the PMD.
Temperature significantly drops on Wednesday but remains above the seasonal average by a slight margin.
People are warned against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and against setting fire to areas with dry grass.
