Weather: Further rise in temperature

RAMALLAH, Sunday, July 11, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime, with temperature remaining 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature slightly rises on Monday, but a drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday, which nevertheless remains at 3°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD.

Temperature drops again on Wednesday but yet remains above the annual average by 2°C.

People are warned against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas with dry grass.
