RAMALLAH, Friday, July 9, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a drop in temperature which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Moderate conditions are expected in the morning and night hours, especially in the mountains. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows, with occasional gusts in the night. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The same weather conditions are expected for Saturday.

Sunday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 4°C above the seasonal average, causing the heat stress to intensify.

Hot to very hot conditions are set to prevail on Monday, with no significant change in temperature.

PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
