RAMALLAH,
Tuesday, June 29, 2021 (WAFA) – The heat wave that hit the country over the
past days continues today, paving the way to dry and hot conditions in
mountainous districts and very hot conditions in other districts in daytime,
according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
No
significant change is expected in temperature, which remains 6°C above the
seasonal average. Moderate to relatively hot conditions are expected in the
morning and night hours. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind
blows. Sea waves are low.
Temperature
in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C
and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C.
In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to
reach a high of 42°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of
33°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Similar
weather conditions are expected for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
PMD
warns people against being exposed to the sun for long hours, especially
between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
