RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 24, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is dry and hot in the mountains and very hot in other districts as a dry heatwave hits the region, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Temperature rises, approaching 3 C above its seasonal average. Relatively cooler conditions are expected during the night hours in the mountainous areas and mild conditions in other districts.
Winds are westerly to northwesterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30 C and a low of 19 C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29 C and a low of 18 C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 39 C and a low of 25 C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30 C and a low of 21 C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature remains 4 C above the seasonal average on Friday as the heatwave is expected to continue to affect the country.
No change in weather conditions is expected on Saturday or Sunday as temperature is expected to approach 5 C above the annual average.
